Mobile Boarding Pass FAQs

What is a mobile boarding pass?
The paperless (mobile) boarding pass enables customers to download their boarding pass on their smartphones or mobile device. Each mobile boarding pass is displayed as an encrypted two-dimensional bar code which contains customer and flight information for the TSA security officers to scan. At the checkpoint, a TSA travel document checking officer will instruct the customer on how to scan their cell phone or PDA so that TSA can verify the authenticity of the boarding pass. Customers will still be required to show photo identification so officers can validate that the name on the boarding pass matches the name on the ID.

Which airports offer the convenience of using a mobile boarding pass?
This feature will be supported at the following locations:
  • Fort Lauderdale, FL (FLL)
  • Fort Myers, FL (RSW)
  • Jacksonville, FL (JAX)

  • Orlando, FL (MCO)

If you are not presented with the option to download your mobile boarding pass, you will need to print your boarding pass from your desktop computer or at the ticket counter at the airport.

What devices are compatible with the mobile boarding pass?
This program supports iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, or any smartphone or mobile device with a browser. Feature phones without mobile capable web browsers will not be supported.

What if I am traveling with other friends or family, can I retrieve their boarding pass?
At this time, only one boarding pass per smartphone will be accepted at the airports.

What do I do if I can’t use my mobile boarding pass?
Should you not be able to retrieve your boarding pass on the mobile website or have issues processing the boarding pass at the security checkpoint, you can reprint your boarding pass at a Silver Airways Kiosk or at the ticket counter at the airport. You can also print your boarding pass from your desktop computer.
