What is the Sterling program?
Sterling is Silver Airways’ pilot pathway program offering aspiring aviators a clearly defined path to a Silver Airways flight deck.
Candidates selected to join Sterling will benefit from a career development program tailored to their knowledge and experience level, enabling them to build their flight hours and develop as aviation professionals in preparation for being a first officer at Silver.
What is required to join?
Applicants must:
- Be English proficient
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Hold a minimum of a private pilot certificate
- Hold a valid Class I or Class II medical certificate
- Be at least 18 years old
Applicants must also:
- Be receiving flight training or flight instructing at a partner flight school
- Have no documented violations for flight school’s code of conduct or have the been the subject of any disciplinary issues
- Have no more than two checkride failures*
*A checkride failure is defined as any checkride conducted under Part 61 or Part 141 operations by, or on behalf of, the FAA hat if successful would result in the issuance of a private, instrument, commercial, multi-engine or CFI certificate/ratings.

If you are currently training or instructing at Wayman Aviation Academy, BUIQUI AEROSPACE, or Epic Flight Academy, you are eligible to apply.
If you are not, you are not eligible to apply at this time; however, we will be announcing another NEW flight training partner in just a few weeks so please check back with us!
